Limerick Sings 2025 YOUNG VOICES Application

This year our Young Voices youth concert will take place on Thursday 5th June.

If you and your choir would like to take part in this fun concert, kickstarting the Limerick Sings 2025 Festival, please complete the application form below. Our panel will aim to select a number of choirs from the Limerick region and beyond, who will showcase the talent and wide variety of youth singers performing today.

Applications are open to choirs with members aged up to 16 years. Selected choirs will have a slot within the concert
for a short performance of their own repertoire.

All selected choirs will also perform together as a massed choir for the concert finale, under the baton of
renowned conductor Máire Keary-Scanlon.

Photo/Video Release

I hereby assign to the Limerick Sings International Choral Festival / University Concert Hall all rights including copyright and performers’ rights, to the extent permissible under Part III of the Copyright & Related Rights Act 2000, that it may have in any photography, recording or live broadcast in any format (including but not limited to filming) of performances by me and my choir made by the Limerick Sings International Choral Festival / University Concert Hall under this Agreement. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, these rights will include the right to commercially exploit any such recording/filming/photography in any format and/or medium (including but not limited to the internet) without payment to the Artist.

Health & Safety

I agree that all choir members and others travelling with the choir will follow all Festival Health & Safety procedures, and will adhere to guidance from the Festival Team at all times. I agree that all members of my group will follow any public health guidelines in place during the Festival, along with additional measures that may be required by the Festival and/or specific venues, which may include wearing facemasks.

Young Voices Terms, Conditions & Guidelines

1. Limerick Sings accepts no legal responsibility whatsoever in respect of anything pertaining to a choir's participation in the Festival and/or related visit to the region/country. 2. Limerick Sings supports fair remuneration of artists and composers, and encourages all participants to purchase original musical scores in line with copyright regulations. The Festival accepts no responsibility for any action taken by copyright owners against choirs who perform illegally reproduced music. 3. The Festival accepts no responsibility for participants’ costs and expenses (e.g. transport, food) incurred outside of any costs agreed in advance. 6. It is a condition of participation that a choir agrees that any performance it gives during or related to Limerick Sings may be photographed, broadcast live and/or recorded for subsequent reproduction and/or broadcast on radio, television, internet and/or social media without payment to the choir or any related individuals. All broadcasting and photographic rights to any performance during or related to the Festival shall belong to the Festival, which will be free to dispose of them or utilise them in promotional materials as it sees fit. It is the duty of all choirs with members under 18 years of age to ensure that informed consent is sought from young people and their parents/guardians/carers in this regard. Any performance given during the Festival may, without payment, be recorded and the Festival shall be entitled to possession of any such recording and shall further be entitled to reproduce any such recording and to sell, let for hire, offer or exposure for sale or hire, distribute or otherwise dispose of any recording or reproduction of recording of any such performance in any manner as it sees fit. Completion of the Photo/Video Release is required, and implies acceptance of these terms. 7. Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of all the above rules and regulations.
